I recently had a landmark birthday and took a few days off work to do things I enjoy. I've had this other long board, an Exocet Kona One for about 20 years. I had big plans for at the time but it's been gathering dust for the most part and when I got back into the sport all my long board focus has been on the Windsurfer LT. I felt that it could be a stepping stone to moving onto a short board (because it's designed to plane on a ducktale that shortens it's length).
I thought I would celebrate my 50th birthday by going windsurfing so took the Kona out for a few sessions. The wind was well short of what I probably needed but I still enjoyed myself and at the end of it I felt that what the board really needs is another 5 - 10 knots of wind. So, no doubt it won't be the last time I sail it.
