At the beginning of summer, my pathfinder inherited a cooling issue. This thankfully didn’t lead to a blown head gasket but cracked radiator and me looking for other options.
A fellow R50 owner has a aluminum radiator but his being a VG variant of the R50 I figured it wouldn’t work for later VQ models. After finding the radiator I quickly realized the mounting points are the same (lower mounts).
Long story short it does work, and has been working now for the entire summer in 100+ degree weather. With AC blowing cold and obd2 monitoring, coolant temps have never hit over 196 degrees.
