The Automobile Association (AA) Special Operations Response Team (SORT) rescue a sinking car from flood waters at Rescue Day 2014.
The AA are often considered the 4th emergency service, providing (non-blue light or non- category 1 service) emergency response to vehicles (As they're such a part of modern life) where life isn't threatened (This would often be dealt with by the ambulance, fire & rescue services) - perfect example is this video. The emergency services (Cat 1) have credited them in many weather related incidents such as snow, & flooding, to remove vehicles blocking an emergency & open roads.
