The Prototype CSX GP38-3 and GP40-3 [HD]

Описание: 2/16/2014 On this day, the newest rebuilt locomotives from the CSX Huntington Locomotive Shops are seen in action assigned to coke train K367. First the GP38-3 is seen taking loaded Norfolk Southern and Conrail hoppers west to the AK Steel plant in Ashland, Kentucky as it eases its way through the town of Kenova, West Virginia along the former Chesapeake and Ohio rails of the CSX Kanawha Subdivision. Later on, the train is seen heading east with empty hoppers to the KRT railroad. At the time, these locomotives have been in active service for about a week or less. CSXT #2000 is the first locomotive of the GP38-3 rebuild program and CSXT #6500 is the first locomotive of the GP40-3 rebuild program. Like the SD40-3 rebuilt engines, the most noticeable feature of the GP38-3 and the GP40-3 is a new and unique shape of the locomotive cab. Please like and enjoy.
