A New Era On CTrail Begins! First Rebuilt P40DC Returns To Connecticut, Featuring CDOT 6711

Описание: Well hello again everyone. i decided to create a video on the information on the P40DC locomotives that CDOT owns mainly because this week CDOT P40DC 6711 arrived back in Connecticut for the first time in roughly 3 years. 6711 began her service life as Amtrak P40DC 820 which was then later sold to NJ Transit along with three others numbered 4800-4803. 4800 was originally 808, 4801 was 810 and 4802 was 812 and all 4 of the NJ Transit P40s were painted in the true NJT colors. In 2015 CDOT bought the 4 P40s from New Jersey Transit and in march of 2016 they were delivered to New Haven where the spent years stored. In 2018 The first 6 were sent out for rebnuild and this week 6711 returned. 6711 was 4803 and I was lucky enough to get photos of a few of the P40s in the NJ Transit colors because my dentist office is located above the bone yard which houses alot of stored equipment. This is a before and after video of the units. Eventually the 11 other P40s will be rebuilt and repainted into the CTrail paint scheme. The NJ Transit units 4800,4801 & 4802 as well as 834 and 841 are still in Beech Grove being rebuilt and sooner or later the 6 P40s that remain will also be sent out and those are 833, 836, 838, 840, 842 & 843.
