In this rant style video, I go over why I think the previously very popular idea that Splatoon 3 was closer to an update to Splatoon 2 than a real sequel is very dumb.
This is a bit of a different style of video and I am admittedly not sure how well I was able to explain my issues with the Splatoon 2.5 argument but I really wanted to get this off my chest because it's been an issue for awhile now. I'd rather clumsily explain my issues with this situation than stay silent.
One final thing: If you still don't think Splatoon 3 is worth it, especially at launch, that is fair. My issue is more with the fact that Splatoon 2.5 was propped up with incomplete information, denial of things that obviously separate Splatoon 2 and 3, and how Splatoon 2.5 hurt the discussion around Splatoon 3. You may not be convinced that Splatoon 3 has enough, but I think it's hard to argue that this sequel IS a sequel and deserving of that title.
