Falken Azenis RT660 1st Trial at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway - Honda S2000

Описание: On October 8, I attended the @doghouse.garage event at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. It turned out to be the perfect day to test the Falken Azenis RT660's. I was skeptical during my first session because my S2000 felt much looser in the rear than the previous week (I raced at Big Willow with Yokohama AO52's). As such, I was apprehensive about pushing the limits too much. After coming into the paddock, I was close to my hot tire pressure goal of 34 psi. I readjusted the pressures to 34 psi and went back out for a 2nd session. This video captures my hot lap of 2:00.46 in the 2nd session. In this session, I decided to push the limits farther to see how the Falken Azenis RT660's would react. To my surprise and despite how vocal the RT660's are, they responded very well to rear-end looseness. Whenever they started screaming at me, I found them to be predictable and easy to bring back into a mild mannered and comfortable form. One other note, I found the straight line grip under braking to be quite impressive. Furthermore, my lap times were consistent... I ran lots of 2:01's in all my sessions. With respect to durability and drop off, I can't really comment because I didn't run that many laps... to be continued.
