Andre helped Prince to build and assemble the earliest iteration of what would become the Revolution. Bobby Z, Matt Fink, Gayle Chapman, Dez Dickerson and Prince took early shots at fame as they toured the chitlin circuit and grew the Prince legend. The bikini briefs, the risqué lyrics and the Dirty Mind. Prince with the help of Andre laid the seeds that started the Rain.

Andre would bring it as well. Andre created a name for himself outside of Prince's shadow with a lucrative production catalog. Cymone would produce records for Evelyn Champagne King, Adam Ant and hit after hit for Jody Watley. The brothers would find each other and collaborate once more in the studio on the Prince song "the Dance Electric".
