According to the Hindu epic Mahabharata, Jarasandha was a very powerful king of Magadha. He was a descendant of King Brihadratha, the founder of the Barhadratha dynasty of Magadha.He was a great senapati. he was also known as magdha samrat Jarasandh.
Assandh is a city and a municipal committee in Karnal district in the state of Haryana, India. Assandhis 45 km south-west of Karnal. Karnal Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 10 Lok Sabha constituencies in Haryana state in northern India.
