How to update a windows 10 to windows 11 without loosing any data

Описание: Step 1. Check if your PC supports Windows 11

Download Microsoft’s PC Health Check Tool → https://aka.ms/GetPCHealthCheckApp

Install and run it.

Click Check now — it will tell you if your computer meets Windows 11 requirements (TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, 64-bit processor, etc.).

If your PC is supported, continue. If not, you’d need a workaround (different process).
Step 2. Back up your important data (optional but smart)

Even though Microsoft’s upgrade keeps files, apps, and settings intact, it’s always good to back up:

Use OneDrive (built into Windows 10), or

Copy files to an external drive/USB stick.

Step 3. Upgrade using Windows Update (easiest method)

Go to Settings → Update & Security → Windows Update.

If Windows 11 is available for your device, you’ll see:
“Upgrade to Windows 11 is ready – and it’s free!”

Click Download and Install.

Follow the on-screen instructions — your PC will restart a few times.

All your files, apps, and settings will remain as they are.
Step 4. If you don’t see it in Windows Update, use Installation Assistant

Go to Microsoft’s download page: https://www.microsoft.com/software-do...

Under Windows 11 Installation Assistant, click Download now.

Run the tool → Accept license terms → Click Install.

It will download Windows 11 and perform an in-place upgrade — keeping everything intact.

Step 5. Verify after installation

Once upgraded, go to Settings → System → About to confirm you’re on Windows 11.

Check your files and apps — everything should still be there.
