The 1967 Milliken MX-1 Camber Car is one of the most radical engineering experiments in automotive history. Built by Bill Milliken — aviation pioneer and vehicle dynamics legend — this single-seater prototype used extreme negative camber angles up to 50° to mimic two motorcycles leaning into a corner. Powered by an 80bhp Mercury Marine two-stroke engine and tested on public roads, it raised lateral acceleration from 0.8g to 1.0g. After 35 years in storage, it made its public debut at the 2002 Goodwood Festival of Speed, driven by Milliken himself at age 91. A masterclass in unconventional genius.
