Noco Boost GB70 saves the Defender TD5. Replacement Enduroline battery fitted to the Truck.

Описание: As you may know I own a Land Rover Defender and on occasion post a video of any issues I have. Well this is another of those videos!
I had replaced the 1000amp battery 4.5 years ago but lately I was getting a feeling the battery was going to let me down. You know, when you turn the key I wasn't getting a crisp start. So I was on my guard. I do have a NOCO GB70 boost pack I bought 18months ago as my Son was having an issue with his car. I've not used the NOCO since but I was very pleased to have it now!
It is really easy to use and has a number of in built fail safes like reverse battery protection, no spark connections not to mention it can output 15amp at 12volts to power up other gear I may have in the Truck. Also it has a 7 function LED torch and phone charger capability. It can be charged via the car Aux connector (cigar lighter socket) in 2hours or from a USB wall wart. I had to buy the hard case separately but was a good add on.
This video isn't just about the NOCO, its also about the battery replacement in the Truck which isn't as straight forward as it used to be due to the addition of my deployable steps.

**UPDATE**. It appears that the Truck is indeed drawing around 25ma when idle after I disconnect all my "add on's" which is acceptable in my book. Now the things I have added that made the total of around 135ma when idle are listed below.

Truck 25ma
Flashing LED on the dash 20ma (need to rethink this one!)
Tracker, now unused/disconnected 25ma
Deployable step 65ma!! (Need to look at that ASAP. Easy fix so lookout for an up coming video on this one.)

The replacement battery was bought from Tayna Batteries and is an Enduroline with a 4 year warrantee. It cost around £120 delivered and was shipped within 20 minutes after I placed the order. Not bad at all!
