To Enter (Follow instructions carefully or your photo will NOT be used)
1. Email me at [email protected]
2. In the emails Subject box title it "Rate My Winter Setup"
3. At the top of email include your Location*, your *Average Winter Temperatures*, *Estimate Food Stores weight of your hive and the Desired Weight Food Stores winter in your region (if you know it) and then write a short description discussing your hive setup from the bottom to the top. Also include if you are using quilting boxes or other forms of moisture control inside the colony.
4. The equipment size rather it be 10 frame, 8 frame or just a 5 frame nuc setup does not matter, enter whatever setup you have.
5. One photo per entry and I prefer landscape images (turn phone on side to take picture). Also make sure the picture is close enough to see the hive in detail.
Below is an example of what the email should look like
Email Subject: Rate My Winter Setup
Location: Central Ohio
Average Winter Temps: 15°F-mid 30's
Estimated Food Stores: 85 pounds
Desired Food Stores: 100 pounds (10 Frame hives)
Short Description: Double deep 10 frame colony with a 2" shim on top for the mountain camp method, Upper & lower entrances, Screened bottom fully open, Top cover slopped away from entrances, Bottom board sloped forward so moisture runs away from lower hive entrance. The population is fairly strong with the cluster filling the lower brood box with some into the second deep box.

The prices you pay are no higher on any of these products than if you would search for them yourself. My commission comes from the retailer for each sale. Why are you doing this? It’s a way of me trying to cover my time and efforts I have invested in what I do. So if you would like to help support my channel, these links would be one ways. Thanks folks
