Below is the IP Address detail of AHV & CVM
VM's AHV CVM
Nutanix-AHV-01 192.168.1.217 192.168.1.218
Creating a Single Node Nutanix Cluster
1. Install AOS on the node
2. Take putty session of AHV and check CVM Status.
3. Once the CVM starts pinging, we need to login CVM and execute the cluster create command
4. User name is nutanix and password is nutanix/4u
5. execute below command:
cluster -s cvm_ip_addrs create
eg in my case:
cluster -s 192.168.1.218 create
6. Once cluster is created we can check the cluster status using "cluster status" command.
7. It will be in down state. To start it execute "cluster start"
8. once the cluster is started, we can access the cluster by accessing any CVM IP in the browser.
9. default credentials for logging cluster is "user : admin & Password : nutanix/4u".
10. It will ask for changing the password on first login.
11. After updating the password we need to login the "Next Account".
12. After successful logging we will land to the cluster dashboard.
Note:
You need to register and create an account in Nutanix portal to create a next account.
