The 23rd Webinar session was conducted by Mr. Vikas Sinha (MBM 94) on "Building a Biotech Company" - Round 1 & 2.
Mr. Vikas Sinha started the session with the introduction of how the large pharma industries missed the growth opportunity in the 90s and later how they were able to get back by M&A activities. Mr. Vikas Sinha expanded when Alexion Pharma was not able to get any opportunity to be partner or be acquired then they decided to go for break-even which would be the costliest medicine in US and Europe Pharma market.
Mr. Vikas Sinha explained how he was able to get connected back to AIM alumnus and was able to help him to raise funds of $5B at better than market rates.
Mr. Vikas Sinha described that there is no certain rule book to be followed and all should focus to see the unseen and then one will be awarded with the premium.
