Nestled along the McKenzie River in Oregon’s Willamette National Forest, Sahalie and Koosah Falls are two of the most stunning waterfalls in the Pacific Northwest. Both drop around 75 feet over ancient basalt cliffs into vibrant, turquoise-blue pools surrounded by lush moss and towering old-growth forest. It’s one of the most beautiful locations in the entire state — and a must-see stop along the McKenzie Highway.
In this video, I’ll take you along the short 1-mile out and back trail that connects these two incredible waterfalls, showing you not only the main viewpoints but also a few lesser-known spots along the McKenzie River that you won’t want to miss. From the misty basin of Sahalie Falls to the canyon views of Koosah Falls, this area perfectly captures the magic and beauty of Oregon’s wilderness.
Whether you visit during the lush greens of spring or the warm glow of summer, this place feels like stepping into another world.
