In this video we finally put the .338 Razorback wildcat cartridge to work — shooting it into ballistic gel and testing accuracy to see how it performs in the real world.
The .338 Razorback cartridge is a wildcat round based on the 10mm Auto case necked down to .338 caliber with a 1:6.5 twist barrel for ideal load density and performance. It was developed to give big-bore performance in a non-standard platform with heavy bullets ranging roughly 250–305 grains.
Wildcat cartridges like this are unique because they aren’t standardized by SAAMI — they’re built by enthusiasts and gunsmiths pushing the limits of what rifle platforms can do. The .338 Razorback specifically uses inexpensive brass and heavy projectiles with interesting real-world impact characteristics.
In this test we:
• Shoot calibrated balls into gel to observe penetration and expansion
• Check real accuracy at distance
• Talk pros/cons and what makes this round strange and fun
