The MC960PA is a separate Power Amplifer that can drive up 10 Pairs of Stereo Speakers (20 Speakers total). It was original designed to be used with the M&S Model MC960 Receiver (not an intercom) to create a whole-house Stereo Music System.
The MC960PA could be "daisy-chained" with up to 2 additional MC960PA's - allowing for up to 30 Pairs (60 Speakers total) on 1 System
The later M&S DMC1 and DMC3-4 Music Intercom Systems - Along with the NuTone versions NM100 and NM200 Intercom Systems have the capability of also being used with the MC960PA
