When I purchased the Green Mountain Diapers Half Size Flats, I could not find a video showing me how to fold it on my preemie sized newborn baby. So, I modified the Gaynor's Fold for Girls and made it work. It was a perfect, trim fit.
She wore the half size flat alone for about a month before she outgrew the absorbency, but could still fit the fold, size wise, until about two months of age. This was from 4 - 10 pounds. You can also do this fold with a standard size flat by starting with it folded in half.
