Abandoned Rusty Meat Grinder Restoration | REBORN FACTORY
In this video, I restore an abandoned, rusty meat grinder found in a derelict condition.
This vintage cast iron tool was heavily corroded, the internal screw was completely seized, and the blade was dull and unusable. It looked like scrap metal that had been forgotten for decades.
My goal was to rescue this piece of history and transform it into a shiny, food-safe kitchen machine.
Restoration Process:
Disassembly: Carefully taking apart the seized mechanism using heat and patience.
Rust Removal: removing layers of heavy oxidation and grime.
Surface Grinding: Smoothing out the rough cast iron surface.
Sharpening: Resurfacing the blade and plate to ensure a perfect cut.
Mirror Polishing: Buffing the metal to a stunning chrome-like finish.
Food Test: Testing the restored grinder with fresh meat at the end.
