Gwerz is a genre of Breton songs, often telling tragic stories. This tune was written by the famous modern French harpist, composer, and head of Camac, Jakez François. Even though there are no words, one can truly feel its beautiful sadness.
I really enjoy organizing, learning, and playing music in “sets,” where a few tunes share something in common, so I hope to record two more to complete my “Breton triptych.”
My harp is Athanasos from Klangschiff Harfe.
