Global Fund for Children recently brought together voices from across the world to unpack why traditional safeguarding frameworks that are often rooted in European models can miss the mark and how we’re working to shift power, center local knowledge, and decolonize safeguarding together.
During the webinar, we explored:
1: What safeguarding really means beyond compliance.
2: Why decolonizing safeguarding is urgent for philanthropy and the aid sector.
3:How GFC is co-creating principles, language, and practices with community-based partners.
4:Reflections from Africa and LAC regions on context-led safeguarding.
