PURPLE AND BLUE [Supercollider and C++ Sound Synthesis] on the Atomic Age

Описание: An Exercise in C++ Sound Synthesis, Supercollider and Reactor.

This channel is mainly based on merging the neurophysiology of sleep and music, on the other hand from time to time I share some music I make with analog and digital instruments, synthesizing sounds I like with SOMA hardware (Lyra-8), Moog and on the other side of the spectrum, strictly digital synthesis using C++ sound coding, Max MSP, Supercollider and Reactor.
As a filmmaker, I love public domain video archives, library pictures, and historical footage, and the idea to give a life to it by composing soundtracks directly or indirectly inspired by the content of each reel.

This video contains footage of nuclear bomb's detonation tests, mainly conducted in American and Russian soil, the supervision of children in their monthly gas mask drill and images of "the house in the middle", a government educational tape comparing the damages of a nuclear blast against a well kept property VS a rundown one.
The video does not intend to express any opinion or judgment on the atrocities conducted during the Second World War and Cold War, it is for me just a way to reevaluate the power of those images from a different outlook.
I would to work with found footage, private 8 and 16mm reels as well if I will ever have a chance, as I believe sound synthesis could be greatly inspired by elements that present in any motion picture, from the mechanic of the movement to the physical state of the objects and materials portrayed.
