It’s been a while since we’ve watched a States video, so today we’re checking out 10 Best Places to Visit in New York State — and let me just say… my mind was absolutely blown.

Before I started this channel, I genuinely thought New York was just the city. Like, in my head it was skyscrapers, yellow taxis, and that was it. Seeing all this scenery — lakes, mountains, waterfalls, tiny towns, and literal castles on islands — I would never have guessed this was New York. I clearly had no idea it’s a whole state. A whole STATE, guys.

We get into places like Buffalo (yes, I had questions about Buffalo wings), Lake Placid, the Catskills, Letchworth State Park, Watkins Glen, the Hudson River Valley, Fire Island, Thousand Islands (I am still not over the castle), Niagara Falls, and of course New York City. Every new place just made me more confused in the best way possible.

Some of these locations genuinely reminded me of Finland, especially with the lakes, forests, and fall colors, and others felt completely unreal — like Disney-movie-level beautiful. I kept thinking “I want to live there” every five minutes.

This video was incredibly eye-opening and honestly made me realize how much of New York State I’ve never seen or even heard of before. If you’re from New York, or you’ve traveled around the state, please tell me where I have to go because clearly I need about a year to see everything.
