The sweet spot: 2-100 employees in New York State and 5-50 everywhere else. But there is more to it.
The reality check: You get the foundation, but you still have to drive the car.
The pricing trap: Some PEOs charge a percentage of payroll (watch out if you have highly compensated employees), while others charge a flat fee per employee. You need to consider what this means to you.

Paul also shared why so many companies end up PEO-hopping - starting with big names like ADP, getting frustrated, moving to smaller ones, then sometimes coming back. There's definitely an art to picking the right one.
