Nepal: Birganj Communal Clash Sparks Indefinite Curfew After Sword Attack | India Today

The minor disagreement escalated into a violent confrontation in this Muslim-dominated area, where reports indicate a Hindu youth was attacked with a sword. The tensions led Nepal police to impose an indefinite curfew in key areas of the city to contain the hostility. According to reports, cases are being enforced in Gaur in the district headquarters area and other parts of the district until further notice. The Rohterheim district security committee has convened meetings to assess the situation, and Nepal's federal government has assured force augmentation in the region.
