Whilst staying at Garlieston Caravan and Motorhome club site in Dumfries we took as few walks from the site including this one round the coast to Rigg Bay before we left. The history of Garlitieston and Rigg Bay is interesting it became part of the secret Mulberry Harbour project because the beach had the same profile as the seabed in Normandy, so trials took part here. Some of the remains can be seen at Low tide.
