Champ of Champions ~ Pokémon World Championship Finals Battle Theme Epic Orchestral Remix

Описание: The devs won't remake a song, so I do it, you know the drill if you've listened to the new Partners in Time album (you did, right? right?). Game Freak's sound team didn't feel like creating a new rendition of the Pokémon World Championship's final battle theme since X&Y, but since the new editions just released, I felt like remixing a song from our beloved franchise of pocket monsters, of which you can't even catch 'em all this time, but let's not open that can of worms.

I chose an orchestral style similar to the intro of X&Y's version and applied it to the entire track to create a much more epic, if less bouncy version of the PWC final battle theme. Usually I try to go for a realistic sound, but since 8 french horns just sound so much more epic than 4, I kinda just ignored certain conventions this time to make it sound even more powerful.

I think it is also worth noting that I didn't actually intend to release this song at all, it was initially supposed to be a practice run for working with the new project template I built to improve the sound of the Partners in Time ReRemix album. Speaking of PiT, I hope to be able to release a new remix from that game next week, but since time to spare is still pretty scarce, I can't guarantee anything.

UPDATE 2/22/2020: I just noticed that I totally fucked up the legato on some of the brass, and somehow didn't notice it until just now. Really, it sounds like an insult to CSB's beautiful legato scripting. Might fix that at some point.

UPDATE #2: Oh, THAT'S why I turned it off. Apparently CSB doesn't have polyphonic legato so to get a convincing effect, I'd have to load a separate instance of the library for every simultaneous voice. And it's already taking up 13 gigabytes in RAM as it is now. Well, time to downloadmoreram.com I guess.
