Описание: 'The Dakotas' could be considered the antidote to Warner's other Westerns, which tended to feature entertaining characters like Maverick, Cheyenne, etc. Here the Marshall and his three deputies don't crack jokes or spring cons on unsuspecting card sharks. It's serious business...so serious that when a couple of wrongdoers were shot to death in a church audiences were so scandalized that complaints caused the network to yank the show off the air. With all the hubbub over that, episode 20 never aired, and seems to have disappeared. It didn't even make it into the DVD set. William Lava is credited for music on screen and ASCAP lists hims as composer of the 'main title'; based on copyright filings the classicthemes site names Howard Jackson as composer of the big, bold theme.
