This is a short video walking through my setup process for the UGREEN DXP4800 Plus.
Everything shared here is based on my own experience—this video isn’t sponsored.
I also included a quick storage drive comparison that I hope will help anyone getting started with their first home NAS.
My NAS Setup:
• UGREEN DXP4800 Plus
• 2 × 8TB Seagate IronWolf (7200 RPM)
• 2 × 2TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSDs (read/write cache)
Alternative Option:
The Synology DS925+ is another solid choice the provides similar features, but it lacks 10GbE and until recently required Synology-branded drives.
