Kaohsiung City is a special municipality in southern Taiwan. It ranges from the coastal urban centre to the rural Yushan Range with an area of 2,952 km2 (1,140 sq mi). Kaohsiung city has a population of approximately 2.77 million people and is Taiwan's third most populous city and largest city in southern Taiwan 🏯
The MRT is made up of the Red Line and Orange Line with 37 stations covering a distance of 42.7 km (26.5 mi).
In this video, you take the Orange Line from Fongshan station to Sizihwan station.
Two of Kaohsiung's MRT stations, Formosa Boulevard and Central Park, were ranked among the top 50 most beautiful subway systems in the world by Metrobits.org in 2011. In 2012, the two stations respectively are ranked as the 2nd and the 4th among the top 15 most beautiful subway stops in the world by BootsnAll .
