In-car action from the seventh round of the 2003 British Rally Championship, as Jari-Matti Latvala, Miikka Anttila and their Ford Focus WRC tackle the first stage of the South of England Tempest Rally, Ash Ranges 1.
This event made extensive use of woods and military land in Hampshire and Surrey to offer high-speed gravel action surprisingly close to built-up areas like Aldershot, Farnborough and Guildford. We haven't been able to locate the precise location of Ash Ranges 1 but it's likely to be on military land close to Pirbright.
Converted from in-house VHS cassette. There was extensive distortion on the original sound track, so this footage is presented with mono audio.
