WPE'S FOOD RESCUE HERO APP

Описание: Through the Food Rescue Hero Initiative, WPE has created an innovative collection and distribution system for smaller, more frequent donations, greatly expanding our capacity. Using the White Pony Express Food Rescue App (think Uber for food recovery), food donors can signal when they have excess food, and an available food runner volunteer will pick up and deliver it directly to a nonprofit organization that feeds the hungry. In 2024, WPE redirected 641,599 pounds of food through this program—nearly 535,000 meals—which was provided to food insecure neighbors and kept out of the waste stream.
