Complex Doom is a well-known mod. I started with an older version and used it as a basis for playing Doom in the new era. What's different here? So, first of all, to make it not complicated i completely removed the inventory. The basis of the idea is to use immortality for a few seconds, which is activated automatically after using a grenade or a mine, and also with a close attack, but it must be recharged after a while. There are many other new things, such as ice and fire effects and protection for some monsters Monsters under fire and ice take more damage from explosives Killed monsters marks on the minimap for a better know of what is already clear and effect what armor has which player is now visible on players Suit is stackable and auto respawn, time of respawn is less in coop Mini bosses don't engage player until is close or after health of spawner reach zero Strong monsters give much more loot and weapons Monsters with shield effect activated are less ressistant to plasma, explosives or melee
Even though we did not succeed on the first attempt in map 7 of Cydonia which hit hard, before this map it it was relatively easy. We play with a restart instead of a respawn, which I always wanted to have in Doom 2 and it brings more motivation to help each other stay alive and a real difficulty in coop
