This vlog is about returning to everyday life after the holidays, creating a calm and comforting space, and finding beauty in simple rituals - fresh flowers, candles, warm meals, books, and creative hobbies. I’m also sharing two easy homemade recipes, a glimpse into my current read, and a little of our everyday life with Chester.

Homemade Shortcrust Jam Tart Recipe 🍓
Ingredients:
• 6 egg yolks
• 1–2 packets of vanilla sugar
• 270 g unsalted butter, room temperature
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• Jam of your choice
• Optional: chopped walnuts
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 180 °C (356 °F).
2. In a large bowl, mix egg yolks, vanilla sugar, softened butter, baking soda, and flour to form a smooth shortcrust dough.
3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and place it on a baking tray. (Use a larger tray if you prefer a thinner base.)
4. Bake the crust for 15–20 minutes until lightly golden.
5. Trim the edges and crumble them to make topping.
6. Spread jam evenly over the baked base.
7. Sprinkle the tart with the crumbled edges and add some chopped walnuts for extra texture and flavor.
8. Bake for an additional 10 minutes at 180 °C (356 °F).
9. Optional: instead of crumbles, top with whipped egg whites with sugar for a slightly different version.
