Emotionally Focused Therapy theory session held 18th June 2020 with Sandra Taylor, PhD, EFT Trainer.
In this 1 1/2 hour session I explore the theory available on two important elements of EFT - Slowing Down and Slicing Thin. There are no specific articles or chapters on either of these so I pull together and expand on what exists. Participants of the live session work with me to explore how we might put each of these into action with clients.
This is the third of 3 theory groups led by Sandra Taylor. There will also be 3 practice groups led by Helene Igwebuike, EFT Trainer, and 3 reading groups led by Sarah McConnell, EFT supervisor. Together we form the DMT of BEFT - the Decision Making Team of the British EFT Centre. We wanted to offer some free learning groups for our members and for those whose training with Helene and I has been impacted by covid-19. We also offer them here for anyone else interested in Emotionally Focused Therapy.
