Torremolinos co-hosted World Pride in 2017 in conjunction with Madrid and holds its own Pride in June, now the third largest in Spain. In 2023 Torremolinos achieved record numbers of hotel occupancy and tourist spend. Being the principle tourist destination on the Costa del Sol, with over 1 million visitors and 5 million bed stays in 2023 Torremolinos has many events and festivals throughout the year.
