Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk arrived in Kyiv on the morning of Thursday, February 5, 2026, for a high-stakes visit aimed at reinforcing Poland's role as Ukraine’s 'closest ally' during a critical winter of energy outages and renewed Russian strikes. Met at the central railway station by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Tusk immediately joined President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Wall of Remembrance near St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery to lay flowers and pay tribute to the thousands of Ukrainian soldiers who have fallen in the nearly four-year-long conflict.
