Star Trek. Klingons. Casting. It doesn't get any better : )
In this Casting Challenge, we'll be making a Klingon Knife, a D’K TAHG. The D’k Tahg (or Daqtagh) was the traditional blade carried by the fiction space-travelling Klingon warriors knife, courtesy of Star Trek. It consists of a large central blade and two smaller outer blades. I have to confess to being a MASSIVE fan.
I've chosen to tackle this challenge using Lost Foam Casting. I made the basic shape from extruded foam, cast this in aluminium and added wooden handles to produce something that I'm actually very pleased with.
