Описание: i recently built a bike, but i encountered a common bike build problem, there is an issue when the chain is at the biggest cog, it will drop to the smaller cog when i back pedal, some says why would people back pedal at the biggest cog during a climb, the reason is sometimes we need to re-align our legs to give us more force or rest it for a while, so one of the reason that causes this issue is the chain allignment, when the chain is in the biggest cog, the side angle is too much causing it to drop on the next smaller cog when you remove the forward leg force and then you back-pedalled. one of the solution is to make the crankset alligned more on the left towards the center of the bike, the chain ring will be pushed-in too reducing the side angle on the chain created by the cogs and chain ring misallignment. initially i tried to remove 1 spacer and eventually i transferred both spacer on the non-drive side, the problem of back pedalling was resolved after adjusting the bottom bracket spacers, remember the main goal is to reduce the side angle of the chain, another possible solution is to push the cogs outwards by putting spacers in the hub.
