We had the opportunity to rescue a dog whom we named Janu. Unfortunately, Janu had been in an accident that caused damage to her head and cervical spine, resulting in nerve damage and inco-ordination. When she arrived, she was only half conscious and unable to sit up or stand. Our team provided her with initial treatment on the spot before taking her to our shelter, where we provided her with the necessary care and extra attention.
Janu was unable to eat by herself, so our team helped her eat and drink water. With continuous efforts and care, she started to sit up and even try to walk. Although it was a slow process, we never gave up on her and kept pushing her to improve.
After a few days, Janu was able to eat and drink by herself. It was heartwarming to watch her walk again, even though it was not perfect. Janu is now a part of our shelter and has made some friends whom she loves spending time with. We are proud of how far she has come from being collapsed to being able to walk again.
