Luas Cross City Driver Training 5 October 2017 Trams 4003, 4014, 3020 & 4001

Описание: Footage of driver training on the Luas Cross City line on Thursday the 5th of October 2017. This video features four low floor Alstom Citadis trams 4003, 4014, 3020, and 4001 was filmed between 12.42 and 13.20. Four trams were in operation and were running between St. Stephens Green and Broadstone. In the first shot a 401 type tram - number 4003 arrives at the Broadstone DIT stop, a Dublin Bus driver trainer artic crosses in front of the tram and an SG Dublin Bus can be seen crossing over the bridge behind. The tram then departs crossing Constitution Hill, then runs for a short distance parallel to Western Way, before joining Dominick Street Upper. In the second shot at 01:21 another 401 tram features, number 4014 passes under the bridge on the North Circular Road. The station building and canopy of Broadstone Station can be seen in the backround as well as a large number of Bus Eireann buses in its Broadstone HQ. At 01:46 a 301 type tram number 3020 passes under the bridge on the Navan Road in Phibsborough after departing the station of the same name. Note the change of pantograph height as it approaches the Cabra stop and the rollercoaster-like track! Within 60 seconds another tram follows northbound. The video begins at 03:06 and features a 401 type and it is number 4001. In the final shot at 04:00 3003 returns from Broombridge bound for St.Stephens Green.

The Luas Cross City is a major transport infrastructure project in Dublin, Ireland. It a new light rail standard gauge tram line. The project sees the existing Luas Green line extending north from St. Stephens Green to O'Connell Steet and Abbey Street where it connects with the existing Luas Red line. The line continues north through the city as far as the Irish Rail station at Broombridge. The line opens in December 2017 and is owned by TII - Transport Infrastructure Ireland and trams operated by Transdev on behalf of the NTA - National Transport Authority.
