HISTORY / DEVELOPMENT:
The Action-Adventure - 3D Platformer - Comedy video game "ToeJam & Earl III: Mission to Earth" was developed by "ToeJam & Earl Productions" in collaboration with "Visual Concepts Entertainment''. It was released exclusively for the Original XBOX system published by "SEGA" on October 23, 2002 (in North America) and "Microsoft Game Studios" on March, 07 2002 (in Europe).

The original two ToeJam & Earl games were a key Sega Genesis franchise, but development of a third game was prevented by the poor North American commercial performance of the console's successor, the "Sega Saturn". Versions of ToeJam & Earl III developed at different times for the Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast were cancelled.

Following those decisions, the Designer/Director "Greg Johnson" wanted the game to be developed on the Nintendo GameCube but the final decision was made otherwise as the game was the development was completed for the Original XBOX system instead.

NOTE:
The game isn't Backward Compatible on the XBOX 360. And it isn't available as Digital download on the XBOX LIVE store. The only way to play the game is if you're lucky enough to get a physical copy.

Take into account that the game a collection item that is RARE & difficult to find, especially at low cost. Also, keep in mind that PAL copies are a bit easier to find due to the fact that a LARGER quantity were published while NTSC copies were rather limited.
