Toll gates across India will be removed in the next year, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. Gadkari (63) is the Minister of Road Transport & Highways and MSMEs in the Government of India. Addressing the Lok Sabha on March 18 during question hour, Nitin Gadkari said, "I assure the nation that over the next one year, all tolls will be removed." The Union Minister goes on to add that this would mean that the collection of toll tax will be done using GPS imaging technology. "There will be a camera at the entry point of the road that will capture [your vehicle] on GPS," he said. Watch the video to know more.
