Описание: A Star Fox take on the tower defence genre that's actually very enjoyable. The aim of the game is to defend your base and you do this by swapping between and moving around one of twelve gun turret cameras. Which you use to shoot the incoming enemy robots. Robots fall into two classes, one that hinder your cameras, while the other attempts to destroy your base's core. Only all the latter robots have to be defeated in order to finish the mission but defeat them all and you get an added score bonus at the end of the mission. Which in turn allows you to rank up and unlock new weapons and missions along with robots for the multiplayer mode. A high quality package for a product that came free with the first print version of Star Fox Zero. You can also purchase Star Fox Guard from the Nintendo Wii U eshop. If you are a fan of the genre it is well worth getting a copy and the world one boss is shown at the end of the video.

While we can't video the Gamepad screen it shows a map of the current stage with the twelve cameras and you can select any of them by touching them with the stylus. It also shows enemies on the map once they enter the base making it easy to track down any tricky to spot infiltrators.

You can see the amiibo bonus at 31:45 Star Fox Guard only works with the Star Fox and Falco Lombardi amiibos with each amiibo allowing you to call in the Star Fox team once a day to shoot all the enemy robots on the map. Best saved for when you are in real trouble.

Footage captured directly from a Nintendo Wii U via HDMI using a Elgato HD60 Pro. Note to capture the character voice audio from Star Fox Zero we used a audio cable via the headphone socket. On the downside this forced us to record the audio as a microphone input which mean the audio is only in mono and loses some quality. Due to the poor quality of the Wii U GamePad headphone socket, there is the odd moment of distortion in some audio. Gameplay captured from the retail disc of Star Fox guard which came only with the first print edition of Star Fox Zero.
