Andhranatyam is one of the most frequently misunderstood South Indian classical dance traditions. It is often mistaken for Bharatanatyam. It is often assumed to be a variation of Kuchipudi. And sometimes, it is not recognised at all. This confusion usually comes from surface-level similarities. Shared geography. Shared themes. Shared cultural memory. But similarity does not mean sameness. Trayi addresses this confusion not through explanation, but through experience. Instead of telling you what the differences are, this production lets you see them.
