Murder at TDCJ Michael Unit / 18 Month Sentence For Jail Contraband

Описание: A Texas Department of Criminal Justice Inmate is being accused of murdering a fellow inmate at the TDCJ Michael Unit in Tennessee Colony near Palestine, Texas. 34 Year old Davarre Lavalais, who was serving an 8 year sentence was scheduled for release in July. He will now face 5 to 99 years for the murder 44 year old Wes Alan Bracht, who was serving a 5 year sentence for burglary out of Nueces County. Lavalais will likely face an Anderson County Grand Jury. The TBCJ Office of Inspector General is investigating.

A 31year old former guard at the Escambia County Detention Center in Alabama was sentenced to 18 months in Federal Prison for smuggling in K2, cellphones, and currency to inmates. Lakerda Shanta Snowden pled guilty to accepting over $5,000 in brides and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Kristi DuBose after an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Escambia Sheriff's Office.
