Описание: During the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War, the Indian Navy successfully countered a major threat by neutralising the Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi. Originally sent to sink the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, the Ghazi was outmanoeuvred through strategic deception and intelligence operations, including a ruse involving bulk vegetable orders to mislead enemy agents. While Pakistan's vessel suffered from mechanical failures and became stuck near Visakhapatnam, the Indian destroyer INS Rajput eventually delivered the decisive depth charges. This victory ensured Indian naval dominance, allowing the INS Vikrant to enforce a total blockade that crippled Pakistani supply lines. Ultimately, these naval successes contributed to the surrender of Pakistani forces and the sovereign birth of Bangladesh.
