My Home AC (HVAC) blower motor stopped working and I was quoted $20k for a replacement. Decided to figure out what's wrong and fix it myself. A blown thermistor (Inrush Current Limiter) on my ECM 2.3 variable speed motor control unit (these units don't use capacitors). Some AC systems use PSC motors (Permanent Split Capacitor) that use capacitors and they usually stop working due to failed capacitors.
Parts used
Ametherm SL32 (replacement for SG379 HVAC) thermistor from Amazon for about $5.
