D-Band Sensing Platform for Integrated Sensing and Communication

Описание: Electromagnetic waves have multiple applications. Not only do they form the basis for wireless communication, but they can also sense physical information from the environment.

At the Fraunhofer HHI, we have developed a platform for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) in the D-Band (110-170 GHz). Thanks to our platform’s large available bandwidth, we have implemented a demonstrator for accurate position tracking and human activity recognition.

This work has been conducted within the 6G Research and Innovation Cluster (6G-RIC), funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in the program “Souverän. Digital. Vernetzt.”

Am Fraunhofer HHI haben wir eine Plattform für integrierte Sensorik und Kommunikation (engl. Integrated Sensing and Communication, ISAC) im D-Band (110-170 GHz) entwickelt. Dank der großen verfügbaren Bandbreite unserer Plattform haben wir einen Demonstrator zur genauen Positionsbestimmung und Erkennung menschlicher Aktivitäten implementiert.

Diese Forschungsarbeit wurde im Rahmen des 6G Research and Innovation Clusters (6G-RIC) durchgeführt, finanziert vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) im Rahmen des Programms „Souverän. Digital. Vernetzt“.
